Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 has finally been announced and while the release date for the device is still in the clouds, the device does seems pretty interesting specification wise.
As already guessed by its name, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 features a 10.1 inch WXGA TFT 1280 x 800 screen which sums up to give about 149ppi. On the inside, there is a 1.6GHz dual-core processor given along with 1GB of RAM. Of course, this is nothing compared to the Exynos Octa Core processor and 2 GB RAM of Samsung Galaxy S4 but this is still more than enough if you are not too much into gaming. Speaking of storage, the device comes with 16/32GB of internal which is further expandable through microSD card.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 also runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is obviously topped over by the latest version of TouchWiz user interface by Samsung. On the connectivity side, the device has WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G and 4G LTE connectivity options available in selected models.
Judging purely by the spec sheet, it will be safe to stay that Samsung will be making the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 a middle range device and instead of competing with specs, the device will compete in terms of price with other tablets.
Till now, everything seems pretty much fine except for the fact that Samsung decided to squeeze in the same 1280×800 display for the 10 inch model as it did with Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 model. So you are getting the same amount of pixels but spread out over a larger area, this is obviously going to result in some compromise over the display quality.
Unfortunately, there was no release date given out by Samsung during the announcement, but judging by how quick Samsung manufactures its devices, it is only a matter of few weeks before we see the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 hit the shelves.
