The Conquest S6 is an everything-resistant, power armor-donning rugged smartphone from China The market for rugged smartphones is not nearly as saturated as the one for feeble, bending, scratching, scuffing, but arguably much prettier handsets. This makes each newcomer in the category an interesting sight, especially since Caterpillar has the de-facto monopoly and undisputed authority on the...

Hands-on IP68 Waterproof Walkie Talkie Android Smartphone Babiken M8
Hands-on IP68 Waterproof Walkie Talkie Android Smartphone Babiken M8 2014 Latest Rugged Smartphone IP66 Waterproof Android Smartphone Quadcore Outdoor Sports Walkie Talkie Phone Finally this walkie talkie smarphone M8 comes. We had a tri-proof phone M6 but one pity is that M6 does not come with walkie talkie function. Now this IP68 grade rugged phone is almost omnipotent. It collects most advanced and current features of what a mobile phone should have. Firstly M8 is based on MediaTek MTK6589 quad core solution with 1gb RAM and it runs android 4.2 operation system. With the quadcore processor and the android 4.2, you can enjoy anything that a smartphone can offer: music, movie, games, emails, live chat (like facebook, whatsapp, skype.). Apart from these, M8 is also a rugged military grade outdoor sports phone. It is waterproof, dustproof, drop-resistant. The phone is really ideal for outdoor activities like camping, hiking, climbing, boating etc since you can use it under any weather condition and in any environment where people can go. The most amazing point is that this android smartphone has a built-in walkie talkie and you can even communicate between your companions when you are in the romote area where there is no phone signals. Plus you can install some applications like GPS test, you can position yourself anywhere in the world and found out your position latitude and longitude if you are puzzled with your location in the outdoor activities. Samsung Conquer 4G Review -
Samsung Conquer 4G Review - Twitter: Facebook: Empire Avenue: The Samsung Conquer 4G is an affordable Android powered smartphone with solid performance for the midrange user. Here is our review. Hardware & Design The Conquer 4G is all about the mid range but packs some good hardware with a 3.5 inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen that while not as high-resolution as we see in high-end phones does have a bright and solid look to it. Above the screen is a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat. Below the screen there is physical buttons for menu, home, back and search. On the sides there is a chrome finish with buttons for volume, camera and power with a micro USB port on the bottom and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top. The back of the phone has a rigid plastic finish that gives a more high-end feel which it does. Also back there is a 3.2 megapixel main camera with LED flash. The images for a low megapixel camera are good for uploading to Facebook and Twitter. Optimal lighting will be key in getting a great shot for both outdoor and indoor shots. Sadly there is no HD video capture. Samsung has packed a 1.0 GHZ single core processor in here along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, pre-installed 2 GB micro SD card and 4G WiMax data speeds. For it being for the mid level Samsung and Sprint put together a nice design here. Software & Usability The Software running on the Conquer 4G is for the most part a stock version of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. There isn't much for preloaded software but your standard Sprint apps. The phone does support Sprint IDs which sort of works like skins. You can download different packs that will install different wallpapers, apps and widgets and can switch between different packs easily or not use them at all and have a stock android experience. With our without the ID packs in use the performance is still fast and responsive. Battery life will be good for the mid level user who will mainly use the phone for text, a few e-mails, few apps and some web browsing. Those users will be able to get 1.5 days of use on one charge. Heavy users will charge at least one more time during the day. Call quality is excellent. I did not experience any dropped calls and WiMax data speeds were fast when in use. Overall The Samsung Conquer 4G is a solid phone that competes very well against the LG Optimus One line of phones and beats it hardware wise. The phone will be great for those looking for a sub $100 phone with great features. If your thinking of getting the Conquer 4G go for it, you won't be disappointed. PT6M41S
